Alex and I were cooking along about 80 mph and my radar detector went off.Too late! Tennessee Trooper parked in the middle, made a U turn & came after us. He passed Me and got Alex. The trooper gave Alex a ticket and after Al and I had a Cracker Barrel lunch we got on the road just in time to see the HR tour bus.
Bristol, Tennessee at last! Cloudy weather again but it was brief showers.Entering in we were guided to our designated parking areas for the days events. Drag Racing!!This place is HUGE! There are two tracks on the grounds. One for Drag Racing and the other for oval type events.
We try to find a spot near the center so we don't have to walk so far to punch in this time. We were fortunate.Alex got this shot when he climbed up a small mountain. He seems to enjoy heights as you can see.Alex is busy on his cell phone. This guy has a bunch of people calling him for advice on cars and how to fix them all the time.
This is the staging area where the cars are lined up for their turn to run. It's difficult to appreciate these cars when there is no SOUND... awesome!Even without the sound you know by the "smoke" what is taking place. POWER!
My Sentiments exactly!!!
