Charter members of CAMEO Larry & "Peaches" Tandet had promised to show up in Racine to join us in the festivities and sure enough we met them on the grounds shortly after we arrived. The temperature was in the sixties (I loved it) so we all donned jackets... Peaches opted to relax in the Grabber out of the weather for awhile and we guys took in a few sights. Alex and I were their guests in Illinois before we drove to Madison, Wisconsin.
There seems to "always" be a long line near these little phone booths. ?
Racine, Wisconsin was a great stop and after saying our goodbyes we traveled to Chicago (picture on right) for a quick lunch at Ricobenes Restaurant on 26th Street in Chicago, Illinois. Ricobenes is famous world wide and their beef and sausage sandwiches are Awsome! Alex and I stopped and we each had two... plus some peppers to go.Chicago's Sears Tower on the left as Alex heads for Ricobenes Restaurant.
